Automatically removing roll-back from hill starts, the Turbo Retarder Clutch operates simultaneously with the brake, only releasing it when downward force is matched by forward propulsion from the accelerator.

Once safely engaged, lightly reducing pressure on the accelerator will cause your truck to slowly roll-back under your total control enabling you to roll-back with millimetre accuracy.

Perfect Manoeuvring

Constant starting torque is provided for complete control without engaging the accelerator, enabling precise positioning of your truck using only the brake pedal.

Once you’ve moved-off, the Turbo Retarder Clutch will transfer over to a conventional friction clutch and a purely mechanical drive-train providing a smooth and efficient driving experience.

Unmatched Braking Torque

Even at the lowest speeds, high levels of braking torque are available at any time from the Turbo Retarder Clutch using the transmissions gear ratios.

The integrated retarder is driver activated using either the brake pedal or by the five-stage multi-function lever which causes the turbine rotor to lock into its housing, creating oil flow between the two impellor wheels and generating braking torque on the impellor.

Ample braking control and constant reduction of heat at low-speeds will not only deliver unmatched control but significantly reduce wear.
