Freightliner
Argosy
Freightliner’s new cab over engine Argosy Evolution has fast become one of the top performing trucks on New Zealand roads. Through a program of constant improvement based on our workshop and transport operator’s feedback, we have made many local and factory enhancements to minimise downtime and raise the efficiency of this very popular truck.
Introduced to the Freightliner range in 1999, the Argosy lifted the bar on American truck safety with its lightweight aluminum cab manufactured to meet the stringent European ECE-R29 crashworthiness standard.
Available in either 6x4 or 8x4 configurations for tractor or rigid truck applications, the Argosy offers a variety of cab sizes from the slim 63” day cab up to the home away from home 110” Raised Roof model. The near flat floor in all cab models gives drivers that extra feel of comfort and spaciousness
Century Class CST120
The CST120 is the premium level conventional truck featuring a 120" BBC (Bumper to Back of Cab) dimension and incorporates the latest advances in safety and technology. The CST120 is engineered to meet the toughest working conditions in long distance line haul trucking while still delivering the Freightliner characteristics of providing a safe and comfortable working environment for the driver, low tare weight, performance and reliability.
The cab and bonnet are designed for excellent aerodynamic performance and the lightweight aluminium constructed cab also meets the stringent European ECE R-29 crash worthiness standard.
Columbia
Columbia is the most popular model in the Freightliner range, selling more than any other model in the US Class 8 truck market (above 15 000kg) last year. Its classic looks and styling are engineered to deliver maximum reliability and durability in a traditional bonneted truck for the trucking industry today.
Like other Freightliner models, the cab meets the European ECE R-29 crash worthiness standard to ensure high levels of driver safety and protection and added safety features include Antilock Braking System and Automatic Traction Control.
The low aerodynamic bonnet and cab design allow for better driver visibility, reduced air drag for improved fuel consumption and excellent maneuverability to make the Columbia the perfect choice of low tare weight truck in the mid power range. |
