Detroit Diesel Engine Customer Evening
This evening was held at the Trucks and Trailers Manukau City site on 1 August 2007. The guest speaker was Jeff Magdziarz, who is the Business Development Manager for Australasia and the Pacific region of MTU (Detroit Diesel). Jeff flew in from Australia to speak at the evening which hosted people from all areas of the transportation industry in New Zealand.
The main purpose of this evening was to give a detailed explanation about the new ADR 80 02 EGR Compliant Engine which will be required by law in Australia in January 2008 and in New Zealand in January 2009. Jeff spoke about the new technology involved, how it will be implemented and how it will affect owners once the regulation is in place in January 2009.
